Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning

Dechinta is the Wldeh word for bush, or being in the bush. We imagine a future of cultural revitalization through a reconnection with the land. Dechinta delivers land-based programming including arts intensives, university accredited post-secondary programming, and non-credited intensives for students, professionals, and researchers working with Indigenous communities. All courses are led by Indigenous experts, professors, artists and knowledge keepers, rooted in Indigenous knowledge, practices, philosophies and ethics. We believe in supporting self-determining and sustainable Northern communities rooted in Indigenous Knowledge and values.
