About this service
Nova Scotia has one of the highest smoking rates in the country and smoking is the leading cause of most lung-related health issues. At the Lung Association of Nova Scotia (LANS), we are committed to helping Nova Scotians breathe easier by taking a proactive approach to lung health.
The Quit Cold Turkey Challenge was created by LANS in 2015 as a way to reduce smoking rates in Nova Scotia and help prevent lung cancer. By providing support and resources to those wanting to quit, we are able to help Nova Scotians add years to their lives with their families, breathe better, feel happier. Since its creation, this challenge has reached more than 700 Nova Scotians.
