About this service
The MNPHAs Housing Support Centre (HSC) was established in 1996. The community members who use this service are homeless or at risk of homelessness and often lack needed places around which to conduct daily activities They need a place to call home and an advocate to help them to point out alternatives to their current housing conditions. Many of the Housing Support Centre participants live in local substandard housing, in shelters or on the street. Through our Housing Support Centre, MNPHA offers supportive services to tenants and those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness from the local community. These services include a source of community, advocacy, and referrals to appropriate agencies, short-term counseling, and a point of entry to medical and psychiatric services as staff are able to set up appointments with physicians and accompany people to visit their doctors. Everyone is welcomed into the Housing Support Centre.
