About this service
The Autism Arts program utilizes a unique model developed by Autism Nova Scotia in partnership with the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, located in Halifax. As of 2013, Autism Arts is also available at the Yarmouth Art Gallery in partnership with the Southwest Nova Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia.
Autism Arts incorporates a team teaching approach, including an autism professional (Autism, Behavioural Coordinator and Art Educator) who work together to maximize the success of each participants experience. Autism Arts consists of eight-week sessions that take place on Saturdays during the months of October December (Fall Term), January March (Winter Term), and March May (Spring Term).
