About this organization
Peer Support Nova Scotia is a program conducted by Mental Health Innovations (Nova Scotia) on behalf of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Our peer supporters use their lived experience with mental health to inspire hope and empower others in similar situations by providing social and emotional support. This support starts while peers are on the inpatient units across the province, but is focused on providing support once peers are going back into their community. Our peer supporters often support peers in connecting with community organizations and transitioning into their own sustainable social and emotional supports as they move forward in their recovery journey.
