About this organization
We are here to teach and support our people in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and related issues such as; Healthy Sexuality, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Hepatitis ABC, and co-infections, in a manner that is respectful to our Aboriginal ways of life. We are guided on this mission by the people we help. Our purpose is to educate First Nation people and the Indigenous population in Atlantic Canada about transmission, treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other Sexually Transmitted Blood Borne Infections. Our goal is to assist First Nation people rediscover their pride, traditions, and spirituality in an attempt to improve child development and reduce family violence, substance abuse, depression, and suicide.
