About this service
Our Palliative Care Program
is all about living
Animals are often surrendered to shelters because of their age and health conditions. Although their cost of care is expensive, they still have a zest for life. The Nova Scotia SPCA developed a Palliative Care Program to allow senior pets with manageable health concerns to live out the rest of their lives in foster care.
The Nova Scotia SPCA pays for all the pets ongoing medical care through our own SPCA Animal Hospitals and Clinics. All we ask is that you take them home, give them love, and provide them with a retirement home.
Pets looking for palliative forever foster families are posted with our adoptables. You can support this life-changing program by donating to the SPCA today.
