About this service
Haley Street is very fortunate to have a fully functioning Woodworking Department here on site. Our Wood Shop is very productive and provides a vital source of income for the organization. The Shop boasts a close knit group of peers and has an excellent sense of team work. This department has been involved in many community projects in recent years including partnerships with Sobeys, The CBRM, Cape Breton University, Rona, and many more. Some of the many products made in the Shop include: Picnic tables, garbage bins, recycle bins, indoor and outdoor home decor, industrial style custom tables, kindling, firewood, and survey stakes. Participants of the Woodworking Department have the opportunity to learn to use basic tools, sanding, painting, assembling, and packaging products, as well as interacting with the public.
