About this service
SHINE is a social and skill building group for youth ages 13-21 years with developmental delays to increase independence and self-esteem. We provide weekly science, art, or cooking activities during our Gym & Swim (SMILE) sessions for the youth. We also plan outings throughout the school year and run a 9 week summer program from June-August. We attend community events such as hockey games, participate in recreational activities such as skating, bowling, swimming and take trips to the beach, park and other local attractions.
SHINE has 12-20 participants each year.
