About this service
Were currently in the process of developing and implementing a weekly Youth Group. This group will be open to any youth who has witnessed domestic violence in their lives. Please check back with us for an update regarding this program.
We observe the impact that domestic violence has on children and youth. Our new program will involve: intake and assessment, advocacy, referral to outside agencies, counselling and support services, group development and facilitation, research and dissemination, and community outreach.
Group development and facilitation will include: building self-esteem, identifying and expressing feelings, stress management and self-care, effective communication, personal safety, abusive behaviour and responsibility, gender roles and stereotypes.
