About this service
Our mental health therapist works from a trauma informed, harm reduction perspective and provides on-site confidential clinical services. When receiving mental health services through Iris Kirby House, you can expect compassion and understanding that is free from judgement or expectations. Many women who access counselling at IKH seek assistance with developing coping skills for managing stress and anxiety. If you choose to access clinical services at IKH, you can also expect encouragement for healing through focusing on compassion toward yourself and learning about the power of boundaries. Because every persons counselling needs differ, the Mental Health Clinician will work with you based on your priorities, your personal needs, and we will work at your own pace. Modalities used for healing include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
