The Lewisporte Fire-Rescue serves approximately 3300 residents in the town of Lewisporte, in addition to approximately 700 people in the surrounding communities.
The Lewisporte Fire Rescue has a dedicated team of 35 Fire Fighters who are always ready to protect their residents at a moments notice, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. In addition to responding to emergency calls, the fire fighters participate in many community events, and also train every Wednesday evening to ensure they protect the residents to the best of their ability.
