About this organization
Gander Refugee Outreach is a community led Syrian refugee sponsorship group. Help us bring five new families to Gander.
Through committee efforts the GRO has co-ordinated moneys from churches and service groups, individuals and businesses to sponsor five refugee families from Syria. Sponsorship is through the assistance of the Association for New Canadians and the Federal Government.
As of September 2016 we have two families safely arrived in Gander and we continue to prepare and anticipate the arrival of our next families.
The committee, with volunteers from St. Martin's Church and other parishes provide day to day support to families in areas of transportation, health care support and daily routines.
We thank all who have donated and welcome volunteers interested in helping in any way.
