Truly a Special Place...For Special People, the Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp is dedicated to offering all special needs individuals and groups an enriching and rewarding camping experience. Providing a camp for special needs individuals is so much more than providing a facility...its providing freedom, acceptance and opportunity that so many campers may never experience in their everyday environments. There are no pointing fingers or gazing stares if an individual acts or looks differently than others. The camp, not only in structure but in the hearts of so many children and parents of our province, represents a safe haven from the daily struggles which so many families deal with in society.
