About this service
Random Age-Friendly Communities implemented an initiative which has completed a vision of aging and recognition of the well-being of all people as they age.
An Age-Friendly Community provides opportunities for seniors related to physical, mental, social interaction, a safe environment, literacy/education and computer education.
The Municipality of Clarenville and Community Groups are involved in program planning and services which explore how seniors can fully participate in their community.
The Random Age-Friendly Community has been classified into three broad categories:
- Health, Wellness and Security includes health, wellness, safety, security and income security.
- Continuous Learning, Work and Participation in Society includes work and retirement, social participation and cultural diversity.
- Supporting and Caring in the Community includes living arrangements, transportation, work & retirement and family/informal care giving.
