About this service
The Linkages Program has been in existence for many years and has proven beneficial not only to our clients but to the business community at large. It offers work placement of 26 weeks in duration complimented by career-related workshops to persons who have barriers to employment. The program allows clients to explore their career options while being totally supported by AEC counsellors.
The employer benefits from receiving a wage subsidy and the satisfaction of providing youth with a positive work experience.
The general criteria are listed below
- Persons between the ages of 18-30 years
- Must have completed a minimum of Level 2 education and have not completed post secondary training.
- Persons who have not made a successful transition into the labour force
- Must be non EI eligible
The Linkages Program is funded by the Department of Advanced Education & Skills.
