Women who seek shelter at Iris Kirby House have typically experienced a combination of several types of abuse: physical, psychological, emotional, sexual and financial. Whatever type you may be experiencing, remember its not your fault. We offer a safe haven and nonjudgmental support, and assist women in looking at all their options. We recognize that it is a basic human right for each individual to live free and without fear of violence. Some important things to note:

- The duration of a stay at the shelter is assessed on an individual basis with housing and other factors being considered.
