About this organization
To assist persons with disabilities to become self-sufficient and as self supporting as possible. Crosswinds provides a valued day program which consists of teaching the individuals with disabilities how to plan a menu and grocery shop, cooking, money management, personal hygiene, safety skills, reading and writing at a basic level, recreational activities, as well as appropriate behaviours for situations. Staff also does role-playing with individuals to ensure they understand what is being taught to them. Operation off a home which provides an independent living facility for challenged adults.
