About this service
A ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth indicated that only 9% of Canadian kids get the 60 minutes of heart-pumping physical activity they need each day. As part of the YMCA of Greater Monctons commitment to children and youth, and with growing concerns around inactivity and poor health, we are pleased to offer FREE Grade 5 memberships to children for the 2020/2021 school year! Memberships will run from October 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 and include FREE access to swim lessons at the Y, some group exercise classes and other activities. We know youth are faced with many decisions, often with two options a healthy one and an unhealthy one. We believe they need a place to belong, to feel safe and to explore and grow during the important developmental stage.
