About this organization
First Steps Housing Project (First Steps) is a Saint John, New Brunswick-based initiative established in 2002 to address one of the four pillars of Saint Johns poverty reduction strategy pregnant and parenting young women, and their children.
As the only facility of its kind in Atlantic Canada, First Steps provides a safe and healthy environment for pregnant and parenting young women and their children who otherwise have no safe place to live. First Steps seeks to enable these young families to achieve life success. A holistic approach is taken in collaboration with community partners
