About this service
Within the Home Support Services model, the Independent Living with Support program responds to the needs of individuals who live independently or with their families to enhance and encourage their personal independence by providing support in specific areas. This program is for people who live independently in a hostel or apartment and do not need 24-hour support, but need daily or weekly visits with access to 24-hour support in case of emergency. As a goal, we respectfully want to improve and support existing skills while encouraging more independence, or teach new skills so that a person can eventually live with little or no support.
