The Schizophrenia Society of New Brunswick (SSNB) is a non-profit community based organization that was first developed in 1986 as a family support group under the name of Family and Friends and joined the SSC in 1994. Schizophrenia Society of NB was incorporated in 1993. Membership includes families, persons diagnosed with a major mental illness, concerned citizens and organizations working for the goals of the Society. Mission Statement 'To improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis through education, support programs, public policy and research.'
