Opioid Replacement Treatment Program

The Opioid Replacement Treatment Program is a comprehensive treatment and prevention strategy to address opioid use disorder. Opioids are substances such as morphine, fentanyl, heroin, dilaudid, oxycontin, codeine and many others. The program is considered an effective means of reducing the use of other opioids, symptoms of withdrawal, use of other substances, reduce the risk of criminal activity, and rate of mortality. The staff is there to improve physical and mental health, social functioning, and a persons overall quality of life. This multidisciplinary team includes: prescribing physicians, registered nurses, social workers, and administrative support. Individual counselling is available throughout the concurrent recovery process for therapy and, as needed, access to community resources.
