About this service
MAGMAs Crisis Counsellor offers support for all newcomers and immigrants navigating emergency situations (i.e. death of a loved one, suicidal thoughts, victim of crime, etc.). This service can help clients with managing stress, mental health concerns (i.e. depression, anxiety, grief, etc.), trauma memories, intimate partner violence, and relationship conflicts. The Crisis Counsellor provides short term individual counselling and support until other community services are available to help. They provide referrals and information about community services that clients may be searching for such as parenting, legal, youth programs, etc.
