About this service
An average day for a First Responder is anything but average. First Responders and Outreach Workers help our communities that puts them at a higher risk for traumatic stress injuries like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. On top of dealing with trauma, there is also a lack of understanding about vicarious trauma and other forms of traumatic stress injuries at work and in the community. This program was established under our existing community counselling program (CCP), to acknowledge and create a space for that. As we journey alongside your path to recovery, we also want to offer support to family members who may also be dealing with the impacts of their loved ones suffering.

Individuals 16 or older

First Responders (EMS, 911 dispatch, outreach workers, social workers, nurses, firefighters, rcmp, and security workers), family members living in the same household
