About this organization

The Marichette Foundation facilitates access to education for New Brunswick women who are looking for better training to help them get out of a situation of economic dependence. After the publication in 2011 of alarming statistics on the poverty rate of women in New Brunswick, women working in the community sector decided that it was time to act. After long months of work, a foundation project to help low-income women pursue post-secondary education finally became a reality.
