About this service
Addiction and Mental Health Services provide a range of services for individuals, youth, and family members affected by substance abuse, problem gambling and mental health issues.
Specialized addiction services may include:
- Inpatient detoxification, outpatient counselling, methadone maintenance, group counselling and support, short-term or long-term rehabilitation and referral.
Specialized Mental Health Services may include:
- Assessment, individual counselling; group counselling and support; and referral and linkages to required specialized services such as:
- Psychiatric consultation
- Crisis services (e.g. Mobile Crisis Services, Emergency Mental Health and Inpatient Psychiatry)
- Early psychosis programs
- Forensic psychiatric assessment (mental health issues related to criminal charges)
- Long-term treatment
- Outreach services
- Community-based agencies/services or self-help groups
