About this organization
We provide pastoral care, a food bank and a clothing give-away program. We provide assistance in job search activities, like resume writing, interviewing and business letter preparation. We operate a recycling program and provide free meals for the homeless on a weekly basis.
In addition to running a thrift store, the Salvation Army in Miramichi serves hot meals and offers Family Service Emergency Assistance to Those in Need:
- Assistance with food & clothing vouchers, toiletries, medical & emergency transportation, short-term accommodation, furniture, household items
- Assistance with heat/hydro (when resources available)
- School Supplies (when resources or supplies are available)
- Sponsor kids camp spots at Salvation Army Scotian Glen Camp in Nova Scotia
- Christmas Hamper food and/or toys for families who register a need
- Spiritual counselling upon request
