About this organization
The Miramichi's Community Addiction, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Committee is a community based group of professional community workers and local survivors who are determined to bring light into darkness by providing awareness and propelling actions that address issues of addiction, mental health, and suicide prevention.
Community Suicide Prevention Committees over the past 27 years have been working to fulfill the mandate of support initiatives that are designed to prevent the occurrence of addiction, mental illness, and suicide. This includes promoting mental well-being and encouraging help-seeking/supporting behaviors through awareness and education. We work with our community together to identify local needs and eliminate barriers or gaps among existing services.
