City of Edmundston - Arts and culture

In Edmundston, we dance, we paint, we write, we play, we have rhythm. Here, the arts are an everyday happening. Today, more than ever, the arts are closely to tied to economic development and municipal affairs. Parallel worlds that come together and complement each other to make Edmundston a well-balanced city.

There is no doubt that the citizens of Edmundston are making sure the arts are in their lives. We see it in the "Musical Wednesdays", which attracts crowds throughout the summer. It can also be seen in the lobby of City Hall, transformed into an art gallery, or in every corner of the Arts Centre, where creation is at the heart of everyday life.

We see a regular and on-going interest in painting, modeling, guitar and drawing workshops offered at the Arts Centre. We're also witnessing the ever-growing popularity of festivals, fairs and exhibitions and events of all kinds that animate the community on a daily basis.
