Amirault School

Since September 2018, the Amirault school has become a kindergarten to 2nd grade school . Our priorities for the optimal educational success of our students are literacy, numeracy and social skills. In literacy, the ability to read and write is the basis of all learning. This year, we undertook a writing pilot project. After consulting the research, we will focus on teaching explicit cursive writing. In addition, in order to respond to 21st century education, the Amirault school is continuing its Passport project with the development of skills. This initiative has the mandate to introduce students to skills enrichment experiences. This approach allows students a variety of learning situations so that they develop cognitive, communicative and socioaffective skills. The Passport project allows children to discover their passions, to be creative and to learn to collaborate. The Amirault school has always advocated identity building by participating in numerous GnieArts projects, one school one artist and others. In addition, the school is committed to promoting French-speaking artists by presenting the artist of the month. Each month, students and parents discover new French-speaking artists in order to build their French-speaking identity. Another great strength of the school is the collaborative work between teachers. The school is made up of four to five classes of the same level, which allows an exchange of winning practices and collaboration in the service of the student. Projects between classes and levels are a common practice at the Amirault school.
