About this organization
The Rotary Club of Bathurst was chartered November 29, 1937 and currently has a membership of some 50 professional men and women from a variety of occupations.
An active and important participant in the community life of the Region and the city of Bathurst, the club is involved in many public service acitivities both local and international. For example, locally the club supports the Rotary Venture Van project for the disadvantaged, local Food bank and Volunteer Centre, a youth development program "Interact" and a Community garden. At the International level, the club supports the Rotary Foundation-eradication of polio-, a Water tank and distribution project for 100 families in Honduras as well as "ShelterBox Canada" an international organization which delivers emergency shelter for families devastated by disaster or conflict.
