About this service
This program encourages youth of all ages to volunteer in their community. The youth register for this program at the Bathurst Youth Centre, perform volunteer hours at various locations of their choice and are recognized for their work. All youth who volunteer throughout the year, are are registered in this program, are invited to a Volunteer Party where they have an opportunity to win prizes and bursaries. Any youth who volunteers a total of 40 hours and more will receive a T-shirt; those who volunteer 100 hours and more will receive a bag. This program enables youth to gain valuable work experience; but, more importantly, gives the youth a sense of community engagement.
