About this service
The WISH Clinic provides non-judgmental, socially responsible, holistic health care to a population that struggles with poorer health than the rest of the city. Health care will be provided by post-secondary students and licensed professional mentors from a broad range of disciplines that includes, but is not limited to, Dental Hygiene, Dentistry, Dietetics, Medical Rehabilitation, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Psychology, Social Work, and Spiritual Care.
The Winnipeg Interprofessional Student-Run Health Clinic (WISH Clinic) provides free health services to people in the Point Douglas area of Winnipeg out of Mount Carmel Clinic (886 Main St, Winnipeg) on Sunday afternoons from 1:30-4:30pm. No appointment is needed.
In addition to a medical clinic, we offer free snacks, bingo games with prizes, and a childrens play area. On occasion, there will also be special health-related programming from the University of Manitoba.
