About this service

We are committed to being an active partner in the work of reconciliation between settlers and Indigenous people. Hundreds of years of colonization and destructive policies such as residential schools, the Sixties Scoop, and the child welfare system have had and continue to have a devastating impact on our community.

We work to foster healing and empowerment by:

  • offering Indigenous programs developed and guided by Indigenous leadership, including the Red Road to Healing program, healing retreats, sharing circles, sweatlodges, medicine picking, beading, etc.
  • welcoming elders and traditional knowledge keepers for teachings and ceremony
  • hosting regular drumming and traditional activities, and
  • sharing Indigenous history and culture across all our program areas.
