About this service
At VOI, our goal is to ensure that individuals with intellectual disabilities get the encouragement and support they need to discover their own visions of independence.
Residential Services at VOI encourage participants to be active members in their community while ensuring they have control over their freedom, mobility, independence and social roles. We also help parents and families strengthen their relationships with program participants, while engaging with the community to ensure that every person supported are known by name as wonderful neighbours, friends and co-workers.
How It Works
With several locations in Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie, Carman and St Claude, VOI Residences are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are each tailored to meet the specific needs of people supported who live in the space. Each home supports one to three individuals, and many of these individuals are also active participants in our Day and Employment Services.
