How to Access Naloxone Kits in the Community
1. Any person is able to purchase a naloxone kit and receive training, without a prescription, through select pharmacies in the province. The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba keeps an updated list of participating pharmacies on their website: cphm.ca
2. If you are concerned about the drug use of another University of Manitoba student (e.g., family member, friend, or roommate), encourage them to connect with us. With their permission, you are welcome to attend the naloxone kit training with them, where you will receive the training yourself, although they will be the only one to receive a free kit.
3. If you are concerned about a friend, family member or roommate who is NOT a University of Manitoba student, encourage them to connect with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Street Connections program for a free kit: streetconnections.ca
