About this service
The Salvation Army Work Readiness Program is designed to help people (18 years of age or older) who are under or unemployed gain the skills needed to get and keep employment.
WKRP has been operational since 1996 and seeks to improve the employability of high-needs social assistance recipients with financial support from the Province of Manitoba as well as individuals who are under or unemployed and not on social assistance.
Program Goals:
To improve the employability of participants by:
Helping individuals develop basic life skills through one-on-one counselling and daily classes focusing on computer skills, job skills and life skills
Assisting individuals in the preparation of their resumes
Improving interview skills and helping individuals present themselves and their skills in a positive manner

Adults who are under-employed or unemployed
