About this service
Phoenix Recovery assists patients dependent on opiates and benzodiazepines. Opiates, like tylenol #3, morphine, percocet, hydromorphone, heroin, and fentanyl can be addictive. Although abstinence is attainable for some, withdrawal symptoms can be intolerable and as such many are unable to stop using opiates.
Opiate replacement therapy has been practiced for decades across the world. Studies have shown that this approach to opiate dependency results in less overdoses, incarceration, financial difficulties and HIV/hepatitis infections. Patients are given a long-acting opiate in a controlled fashion, such as methadone or Suboxone, to replace their illicit opiate use and to motivate them to work towards a healthier lifestyle.
