About this service
We provide basic needs support that includes:
- Toast & Coffee
- Emergency Food, Diapers, and Hygiene Products
- Computer Access
- Community Phone (local calls only)
- Laundry Facilities ($1 per wash, $1 per dry)
- Photocopying, Faxing, and Printing
- Clothing/Household Items
- Smudging and traditional medicines
- Crisis Support
- Resources, Referrals, & Advocacy
Protection Order Designates
Two staff on site are trained in assisting women to obtain Protection Orders. Staff also provide crisis counselling, assistance with protection planning, and continuous support throughout safety plans women have tailored for themselves.
North End Community Renewal Corporation's Tenant Landlord Cooperation program visits the Centre twice a month on Tuesday afternoons from 2-4 pm to help with problems with rental housing and landlords.
Peer Support Advocates are volunteers that assist with resumes, housing searches/applications, EIA support, and other needs. Just ask at the front desk!
