About this service
Standing Strong is a collection of workshops that were designed through client consultation, to give people living with HIV and their friends/family/supporters basic information on living a full and healthy life with HIV.
We offer 4 different 90 minute workshops:
- Back to Basics: Learn the basics of HIV and treatment
- A Positive Sex Life: Discuss maintaining your sex life or having a family or safely using drugs while reducing or eliminating HIV transmission
- Starting the Conversation: Explore the realities to consider around HIV disclosure and supports you can access when deciding when or how to disclose
- Support Through Thick and Thin: Share experiences of HIV stigma, ways to support each other, and programs and services for Manitobans living with or affected by HIV
We also offer these topics as a full day workshop, once a year.
Snacks provided, bus tickets may be available if necessary.
