About this service
Who We See
- Anyone referred by Mount Carmel Clinic service providers
- Any North End or Point Douglas resident who is not eligible for counseling through other benefits such as treaty benefits or employment benefits or who does not have third party coverage
- Any immigrant or refugee living in Manitoba who has been in Canada less than 3 years
- Anyone referred by the Mount Carmel Clinic Multicultural Wellness Program, Sage House, Wiisocotatiwin/ACT, Anne Ross Day Nursery or the Manito Ikwe Kagiikwe/Mothering Project
- Anyone referred by one of our community partners
If you do not meet our eligibility requirements for counseling, our social workers will do their best to recommend an agency or service that can help you.
Our counselors provide a safe and private place to discuss your problems, such as:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Relationships
- Parenting
- Anger
Our Social Workers make formal referrals to other agencies or services, if required. They also assist clients in identifying and expressing their needs.
