About this service
I have an undergraduate degree (BA) with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. I also have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. My approach to working with people is one of warmth, compassion and humour. I use a client led approach recognizing that you are the expert in your life. As a result of my training I incorporate a "systemic" approach to include all areas and factors that play a part in a complicated life. I offer help with a variety of counselling issues including, but not limited to addictions, trauma, childhood issues and communication. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups.
I have also completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and hold a current membership with EMDR Canada/EMDRIA. EMDR can be used successfully to resolve trauma and anxiety.
