About this service
The MIA Refugee Support Committee welcomes offers for help from the community. We are focused on mobilizing community resources to assist refugees in their transition to Manitoba and to match offers for help with existing needs.
Families Helping Families is a program created by the Manitoba Islamic Association. The program aims to match and connect refugee families with caring families from the Winnipeg community. Government sponsored refugees may lack connections with established Canadians, as they learn a new language and establish a life in a new country.
