About this service
Assessment service delivery aims to improve teacher instruction and assessment on student learning and performance in our schools. Training and support, with a variety of classroom-based assessment resources, are provided to all First Nations classroom teachers at the early learning, early years, middle years, and high school levels. Two assessment facilitators work with the assessment training initiative for Grade 3, 7 and 8 classroom teachers. They focus on developing, assessing, and reporting on academic learning competencies in the areas of reading comprehension, algebraic reasoning, number sense and skills, expository writing, and student engagement.
