Luther Home strives to provide nutritious, pleasing meals to the tenants of 1080 Powers and 1084 Powers and the residents of Luther Home. The menu cycle is changed every 3 months. Within each cycle there are 5 weeks, ensuring that there is significant variety in the menu choices. Sandwiches and cold meat are offered as an alternative for all meals.
An Adult Day Program is located in the link between the 1084 Powers apartment block and the Personal Care Home. Renovations in 2002 have resulted in a dedicated area for the program. This program is subsidized by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and is accessed through Home care. It is meant to give caregivers some much needed respite on a weekly basis. It also gives the seniors a chance to meet with other people.
