About this service
Lego Club is a social skill workshop that teaches students how to work as a team to solve a problem.
Lego Club provides a safe and inviting environment where youth can learn and practice independent social skills. This collaborative play theory was developed using Attwoods concept of constructive application, which uses childrens interests to encourage learning and development.
This FREE, online, facilitated social skills group utilizes S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art and math) concepts to:
- foster ingenuity and creativity
- build resilience
- encourage experimentation and teamwork
- teach problem-solving
- encourage adaption
Each week a new challenge will be presented to participants to complete allowing time for discussion and sharing. A list of challenge materials will be sent out before each class!
This group is funded by #SafeatHomeMB allowing children and youth with neurodiversity to connect while staying safe!
