About this service
Sharing your feelings with a counsellor can help you re-affirm your own strength and self-worth. The sexual assault crisis program (SACP) offers short-term counselling (up to 12 weeks) and focuses on sexual assault trauma.
We see survivors of any gender, ages 12+. The approach is client-centered and the client is an active participant in the counselling process. The amount of time that has passed since the assault is not a determining factor in providing counselling.
- Counselling is also available to any friends or family members (secondary victims) who have been impacted by the sexual assault or are struggling to understand the impact on sexual violence on a loved one. There is no fee for this service.
SACP accepts self-referrals only. People interested in attending must call the intake worker at (204) 784-4059. You may need to leave a voicemail and messages will be returned as soon as possible.
