About this service
John Howard Society has a clothing closet, called the We Fit You Closet, where clients can visit to pick up clothing, or can request to have clothing sent to them in preparation for their release from jail. We have mostly casual clothing T-shirts, jeans, and sweaters as well as work boots, coats, and winter wear.
We also have Fresh Start Kits, which include basic toiletries. These are meant to help clients re-entering the community who need to stock up quickly on the essentials.
Inmates in provincial jails who need clothing in advance of their release can have their case manager call us with sizing information and a list of requested items. Our clothing closet is stocked by donations so if we are able to provide the requested items, reintegration staff will bring the items to the facility and have them placed in the individuals property.

JHS - "We Fit You" Clothing Closet is open Tuesday and Thursday from 2 pm - 4 pm.
