About this service
Our reintegration department assists clients with their transition from incarceration to community. We then continue to support them as they attempt to re-establish and maintain their roles as workers, students, parents, and community members. We help with pre-release planning, meeting with individuals while they are still incarcerated to map out short and long-term goals. We are a one-stop shop for men involved in the justice system in Manitoba, where they can receive programming, support, advocacy, and referrals to other organizations.
Here are a few of the things clients can receive help with through reintegration services:
- Finding safe and affordable housing
- Getting ID such as a social insurance number or MPI photo ID card
- Employment resources
- Plans for education, such as adult ed, post-secondary, or other training
- Getting into an addictions treatment program
- Finding community supports and resources for family members
